Project Post Time

Miriam- Hello everobody! It's a new week, time for new projects to play with. This week we all got yarn from online (some from JoAnnes, and some from Smiley's). Here is my pretty purchase. There is a denim skein, 4 plum skeins, a charcoal skein, and 5 natural skeins. 4 of those natural skeins are for a friend, but they were getting lonely while I was photographing.
Here is my shawl that I finished in August. It didn't win any prizes, alas, but I loved making it, and love wearing it even more. The yarn is handspun, and it is (obviously) handknit, but I didn't dye it. The yarn is a romney/mohair/silk blend. It only took me half a year to make.

Here is a sock of Erin's that she is working on. The needles at the bottom of the picture have the second sock. Notice the pink color.

I don't have any other pictures of my dear room mates projects, but they will be posted soon.

Here come pictures of us all.

No, this is not me, Miriam. I have not sprouted extra arms and turned blue (although I am known in certain circles as midget smurf). As the one with the camera I find that I am usually the one to take the pictures. This is the project I love most out of my recently finished ones. It is my homespun, home dyed (coolaid) and home knit scarf in a basket pattern.
Here is Mackie, no projects in hand, contemplating the meaning of life (or possibly just Law and Order, you never know). Mackie is currently making a crochetted blanket.

This is Katie with her first knitting project! Lookie. This is a scarf knit in stockinnette that turned out very well, especially as a first project. Currently she is working on a hat and naalbinding a bag for herself.

This is Erin, no spinning or knitting in it, but it is the best picture that I have of her on my camera. She is currently working on a scarf out of her homespun (she made the yarn a year ago and is finally getting around to doing something with it.

This is Sara spinning. She is spinning this hideous (or as she would say, beautiful) bright orange and yellow yarn. As of yet the yarn has no destination.

Sara edit: It's not hideous!

Now testing pictures

Yes, this is me. This isn't a terribly great photo, but I am really just trying out this whole uploading images thing. I really do have more pictures of yarn. Really.
Behind me is my roommate (also playing with yarn) and we are at a student fair for clubs and activities at my university trying to get people to come to our knit club. It was a blast (though, it was actually last year).
